Angulo Demo Day at San-O

After the boys pulled into San Onofre with a trailer full of brand new Angulo stand up paddle boards, and a rack full of Angulo SUP demo boards, a spontaneous Angulo Stand Up Paddleboard Demo Day erupted.

Ed and Andy had the full line of new 2009 Angulo stand up paddleboards available for all to try. Even though the "event" was unplanned, and it was a mid-week, week day; a half dozen folks were there to try out the new sticks. Ed was on hand to explain the finer points of SUP shaping, and how this new line has "evolved" or progressed from the 2008 line.

Jeb was the first one to hop on the new Angulo 10' prototype for the next leap forward in the Angulo line, scheduled for Spring of 2009. This board is a carving, smooth, nose riding machine and got great reviews, even in the marginal surf that San-O had to offer.

Luis loved the new 10-2 "Perfect Wave" and set about absolutely ripping on it. Gary said to someone on the beach that he wished he had better performance, so he was directed to the 10-10 "Gu'd Ride". From there he paddled out and got all the "waves of the day". He bought one on the spot. Same with Bob, who's favorite was the 11-11 Big Buggah. He went for one paddle and that was it. He bought one then and there, autographed by the shaper, Ed Angulo, himself.

Everyone surfed and in spite of the bumpy, windy and choppy conditions, had a great time. These boards will paddle and surf in the best of conditions and the most marginal. Guaranteed to have fun no matter what!

This road trip to the Sacred Craft Surfboard Expo started out with 18 boards on the rack and in the trailer. We're now down to five. Everyone is raving about the new designs and how well they work and how great they look. They've just got pop and sizzle. There's really nothing like them on the market today.

If you get a chance to come by the Expo, find us and say hello, we look forward to meeting you and helping you "catch" the Angulo wave of new SUPs.
